Club Rules
Marion Country Club Rules and Regulations
In accordance with Article IV, Section 2 of the Marion Country Club By-Laws, the following rules and regulations are hereby adopted:
Section I – Membership
A. Categories – The following categories of membership shall be established:

Full Golf with Stock (FGWS) - The member, the member’s spouse and unmarried minor children (less than 18 years) living at home, and unmarried college students under the age of 25 shall have full access to club facilities. The member/spouse shall have one vote at any stockholder meeting and may serve on the Board of Directors.

Full Golf without Stock (FGWOS) - Same as FGWS except that the member/spouse has no vote nor may serve on the Board of Directors.

Gold Membership (GM) - Includes all privileges of FGWS

1 Clubhouse Rental per year

1 Cart Storage Rental

1 Golf Handicap

Exemption from committee service (unless the member chooses to serve.) Needs to notify Secretary if they do not wish to serve.

Gold Membership includes Spouses, children living at home or Single children in in post-secondary education, under the age of 26 years old.

Gold Member may bring up to 3 Guests or Non-Members (outside 7 Mile Radius) to play golf.

Green Fees are waived.

Guest Non-Members can not Golf unless the Gold Member is present and playing in the same group.

High School Golf - Available to members of the Marion High School golf team whose parents are Social members of the club.

Social with Stock (SWS) - The member, the member’s spouse and unmarried minor children (less than 18 years) living at home, and unmarried college students under the age of 25 shall have access to club facilities other than the golf course. The member/spouse shall have one vote at any stockholder meeting and may serve on the Board of Directors.

Social without Stock (SWOS) - Same as SWS except that the member/spouse has no vote nor may serve on the Board of Directors.

Single Social - Available to unmarried persons who are between the ages of 18 and 25.Same as SWOS except that Club privileges are extended to the member only. No guests are allowed.
B. Dues and Fees
The Board of Directors shall annually establish dues for each membership category.
The Board of Directors shall annually establish fees for services such as green fees, cart rental, cart storage and golf-handicap maintenance.
C. Payment of Dues and Fees
The club Treasurer shall annually provide a statement of dues and fees to club members. Dues and fees shall be paid by one of two methods:

Dues and fees may be paid in full within 10 days of receipt of the statement mentioned above.

Dues and fees may be paid in 12 monthly payments beginning on March 1 of each year. NOTE: Members not completing installment payments by December 31st of any club year shall forfeit the privilege of making installment payments for the next year.
Section II –Non-Members and Guests
A. Non-Members

Non-members who reside outside a 7-mile radius of the clubhouse may use the golf course after registering and paying applicable green fees.
B. Guests

To use the swimming pool, guests of members must reside outside a 7-mile radius of the clubhouse and must be accompanied by the adult member.

Children of members may not invite guests unless accompanied by the adult member. Such guests must reside outside the 7-mile limit.

An unmarried member with a Full Golf or Social membership may invite ONE GUEST to participate in club activities for which the member qualifies. Such a guest must be accompanied by the member, and is not subject to green fees, nor to the 7-mile radius limitation.
Section III – Golf Carts
A. Storage

All storage for golf carts on the premises of Marion Country Club is owned by and shall be controlled by the club.

All storage for golf carts shall be available only to Marion Country Club members in good standing

The secretary to the Marion Country Club Board of Directors shall maintain a record of members storing carts in MCC facilities.

The secretary shall maintain a list of members or potential members who desire to store carts in MCC facilities.

As cart stalls become available (individual and large barn), members and potential members on the list mentioned in #4 above shall have priority.

Potential members must become members in good standing before occupying MCC cart stalls.

Golf carts are to be driven on carts paths where available. When paths are not available, carts are to be driven in the fairways.

Golf carts are to be kept at least 50 feet away from greens and on cart paths near greens and tee boxes.

Sand is to be carried on all golf carts for use in fixing fairway divots.
Section IV – Swimming Pool

Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a 16 year old supervisor to use the swimming pool. The supervisor may be a non-member however no other non-member guests are allowed.

Swimming pool rules shall be posted at the entrance to the pool area.
Section V – Smoking in the Clubhouse

Smoking shall not be permitted in the clubhouse at any time.
Section VI – Miscellaneous
A. Age Restrictions

Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult (member) to use the swimming pool.

Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult (member) to use the golf course.

Persons driving golf carts must be 16 years of age and hold a valid unrestricted driver license unless accompanied by an adult member.
B. Club Year
In accordance with Article II, Section 1 of the MCC By-laws, the club year shall be from March 1 through the last day of February.
C. Fishing
Fishing shall not be permitted on Marion Country Club Property
D. Other Rules and Regulations

Bottles, cans and other trash are to be placed in trash containers located on or near all club facilities.

Shirts are to be worn on the golf course.

Pets are not allowed on club property.

Glass bottles are not allowed on the golf course or in the swimming pool area.

Persons under 21 years of age shall not attend club social functions unless the function specifically includes minors.
-
Vehicles, other than golf carts, are restricted to improved roads and parking areas.
E. Liability
In case of accidents, each club member assumes his/her own liability.
